Time Lapse

In time lapse a shot or sequence is sped up so everything seems to be moving faster than in real life. For time lapse sequences the camera records fewer than the usual 24 or 25 frames per second. If the footage is then played at normal speed it will appear faster. The fewer frames are recorded per second/minute/hour the faster the sequence will appear.

A twist is a surprising turn of the storyline towards the end of a tale. An unexpected ending, for example in a commercial, makes the spot and hopefully the advertised product memorable to the viewer. Ideally, a commercial's twist highlights the product; if this is neglected, the product will be forgotten no matter how original and creative the twist. A twist that fully focuses on the product is called a product twist.
