While the Cmotion Pan-bar zoom drive unit was designed for tripod operation, the new Steady Zoom is specifically designed for use on gimbal and Steadicam setups. It features a redesigned clamp that can be attached to the unit at 0°, 45°, and 180° angles, with up to 1 cm of separation for more flexibility.
Equipped with two extra buttons on the underside of the clamp, the Steady Zoom has a total of four user-assignable buttons. These buttons can be assigned to functions such as camera start/stop, marker recall, ZAP, or lens limits.
The Steady Zoom can also be hardwired to a Hand Unit, like the WCU-4, for external zoom control.
