The Voigtländer Zoomar lens has a rich lens history as it’s the very first zoom lens for still photography released in 1959. It remains impressive by todays standards, it’s parfocal, low focus breathing and covering full frame.
This single coated lens is sharp on center, with subtle fall-off towards the corners, and has surprisingly low chromatic aberration for such an old lens, making it an ideal match for our full frame vintage primes.
Beautifully rehoused by ANCIENT OPTICS the lens now features internal mechanics, 330-degree focus rotation, an improved 0.9m minimum focus distance, full-frame coverage and its new 15-blade iris ensures consistent circular bokeh.
