Zeiss B Speeds rehoused by TLS

The Zeiss B Speeds, rehoused by TLS, are the first generation of the legendary Zeiss “Super Speed” series. Their optics, made from now-unavailable “rare earth element glass,” provide a beautiful, vintage look. The unique, original triangular 9-blade iris, only found in early Zeiss lenses, produces a striking bokeh. Wide open, light sources render as round orbs, while stopping down to T2 transforms them into rounded triangles.

These lenses exhibit minimal distortion and lovely flares, thanks to the vintage coatings. Shooting wide open offers a flattering look with a slight glow to highlights, while stopping down increases sharpness and contrast. They provide a gentle focus roll-off and minimal breathing.

After rehousing they maintain a handy form factor perfect for handheld operation and lightweight setups. They feature matching gear positions, extended focus rotation, internal focus, and a universal 95mm front diameter. Additionally, the 50mm and 85mm lenses offer improved close focus.

They weigh around 1kg and measure 75mm long, except for the 18mm lens, which weighs 1.5kg and measures 95mm long. Find more Infos here: TLS Zeiss B Speed
